Ceasarea - Acra - Haifa

Tour duration: full day

Caesarea was the capital of the land for hundreds of years. It was built by Herod 2,000 years ago and was at the time the largest port in the world. To this day, you can still see the remainants of the city, which is considered one of the most beautiful archaeological sites in Israel. From Caesarea we will continue to Acre. In the 13th century Muslims attempted to destroy the entire city.  Finding it extremely difficult to do so, they decided to bury large parts of it in sand.  This preserved the city extremely well and gives us all the opportunity to visit the streets of the Crusader city and enjoy the remains of the past. From Acre we will continue to Haifa, one of the most diverse and multicultural cities in Israel, from where we will look at the famous Baha'i gardens, the port of Haifa, and the German colony.  From there we will return home. The tour combines history, archaeology, religions and more. It is possible to combine food tastings or to focus more on the Haifa site.
