my name is Elchanan or Elchi for short.

I grew up in a small village in the Judean Mountains with the forest on one side and the desert on the other side, and ever since I can remember I have been walking in nature.

The biblical landscapes in which I grew up gave me a love for stories and heritage.

Today I am a guide and lecturer for groups and manager of concept tours.

One of the things I really like about my job is the commitment of the guide to be broad-minded and knowledgeable in a variety of fields.

Because of this, I have not stopped learning and expanding my interests, which obtaining my bachelor's degree in the history of the Land of Israel, studying for my master's degree in Middle Eastern studies, as well as learning Arabic, wine courses, the Bible, history, beer brewing, free diving, agriculture and more.

All this guarantees the best experience for my groups and the best that can be taken out of this stunning and diverse country.

In the tours I lead, I combine Judaism, heritage, cuisine, cultures, poetry, nature and more, all with a lot of humor in a professional and good atmosphere.

Elchanan was superb! Our family took a tour with him through Context Travel and we could not be more pleased with his dynamic leadership throughout our adventures to the Masada, Ein Gedi and the Dead Sea. He shared just the right amount of history and details of the landscape as well as the locations we visited to keep our teenagers engaged as well as the adults. His sense of humor and attention to details for each stop in our all day tour kept us engaged and intrigued.
